One of my obsessions is Golden Goose Deluxe Brand. They were founded in 2000 after bringing together the talents of Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. As time went on, they have evolved into a major designer brand with boutiques worldwide, and it’s one that style enthusiasts really love.

I’ve kept an eye on Golden Goose for some time and I would often check out the collection on FarFetch, as they always had an curated selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always felt the price was too high and resembled Converse too much, so they were always on my mental wishlist. A couple of years ago, Adam was the one who first got into the brand and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what inspired me to look into them more. Having seen his in person and realizing the uniqueness of each pair because they’re crafted by hand in Italy, I was even more curious. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are intentionally aged and made to look used and abused, they are all hand done so there’s no two pairs alike. Some have heavier wear than others, so the variation is wide.
